About Us
The Recycling Company is a turnkey recycling company that will provide you with full service, whether you need your household goods picked up or an industrial dismantlement project completed. We will assess your needs, then provide you with all the equipment and labor necessary for a successful job. We are available on your schedule, even if it’s within the same day, and we handle jobs and materials that other companies refuse.
We strive to be 100% landfill-free. To do that, we recycle and reuse nearly every material. We can also provide you with waste management optimization plans and proper destruction and recycling documentation.
A family history of working in demolition, hauling, and recycling helped create The Recycling Company. Our goal, which was to find a better way to handle commercial recycling options, pushed us to figure out how to achieve zero-landfill practice. We are determined to continue this superior service and innovative waste solutions for all businesses.
Our Environmental Policy
We send nothing to the landfill. Every item is recycled, repurposed, or reused. For rare occasions when an item is unable to be recycled, we try all other outlets such as shops, Craigslist, Goodwill, Salvation Army, cabinet makers, woodworkers, and even artists. And if that doesn’t work, we use the item for fuel at one of our trash-to-steam partners.
Why should I bother recycling?
The world’s population is constantly growing which means demand for materials is also constantly increasing. Recycling keeps our resources in use for as long as possible. It reduces the need for new materials that must be mined, harvested and processed, which decreases energy use and pollution significantly.
When materials decompose in landfills, toxic gases are released into the environment. The EPA states that landfills produce the second most methane emissions in the United States. We believe that recycling is a better idea!
Giving Back to the Community
Recycling is estimated to create 10x more jobs than landfill disposal because of the labor needed to sort and process the recycled materials. Many of the materials collected by The Recycling Company are sent to local processors and manufacturers. We understand that keeping reusable materials in the area helps strengthen the local economy and reduce transportation costs and emissions.
We love when materials get a second chance to be used. We recover many types of materials, such as furniture and lumber, and donate them to community groups and local artists. We also work with local communities to reduce our carbon footprint. Communities can invest in their own future by agreeing to recycle more waste than they send to a landfill.
